Practical Parenting Tips on Positive Attitude: Part 1

We live in a difficult world with many disappointments. It is very easy for us to slip into a negative attitude. But negativity breeds only more negativity and defeat. If allowed to be negative, our children can become despondent and paralyzed from doing anything because they see no way to accomplish anything of value. But a positive attitude moves them forward lifting them above troubles and roadblocks. Lou Holtz, former Notre Dame football coach, said, “Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.” And sometimes determines if you will even give something a try.
