Larry Fitzgerald: “Another tough Sunday ‪#birdgang, but this week gives us another opportunity to turn the corner!” ‪#keepfighting

Larry Fitzgerald is a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. The above was a tweet on Monday, December 3, 2012 after another tough loss on Sunday. We absolutely love the attitude and determination!

Positive Attitude is a core value of our family. It is one of our written values of parenting and what we have desired to instill in our children.

Like our other values we are committed to living it out and modeling for our children much more than simply “telling” our kids this is a value you should have.

But how are we doing in living out a positive attitude?

Winston Churchill said, “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

In leadership, family, sports teams, and in the work place attitude determines the level of which we will fly and succeed. It makes such a difference. Many have said that they will take a positive attitude and someone less talented than a bad attitude and all the talent in the world.

A bad attitude ruins it for everyone and a positive attitude makes all the difference in the world, especially in tough times.

  • How do we come across to people? What attitude are we demonstrating for others to see and experience?
  • What does it say about us when we are constantly communicating a negative attitude?
  • What do we need to change to make sure our attitude communicates belief in others, trust, and a hope that they will soar high?
  • Who have you found that encourages you or builds you up because they always seem to be positive and/or optimistic?
  • If you can choose to be optimistic and positive, what ways can you choose to do so?

In the next blog we will look at one man who demonstrates an attitude of humility, commitment, and determination.
